Miss dd Starr grew up in a dance studio trained in ballet, jazz, tap and contemporary.  She burst into the Toronto Burlesque Scene in 2007 as one of Coco’s delightfully delicious Bonbon’s.  Winning Toronto's very first Strip Search competition in 2008 quickly turned Miss dd into a Starr and launched her solo career. 

She has performed in shows across North America including The Vancouver Burlesque Festival, The Montreal Burlesque Festival, Detroit's Theatre Bizarre and Hacienda Serria NYE 2013.  Miss Starr has also performed for private and corporate parties at venues including The The Spoke Club, Liberty Grand, The Church at Berkley, Second City and the legendary El Macombo.    She has also had the pleasure of sharing the stage with burlesque legends Dirty Martini, Roxi D'Lite, Burgundy Brixx and Amber Ray.

Miss Starr is also a burlesque teacher and pin up coach inspiring women to celebrate their individual beauty and embrace the classic art of the tease. Teaching sold out specialized workshops, stag-ettes and private lessons inspired by her sought after signature acts and personal journey. dd also mentors many emerging performers and continues to inspire and be inspired from the talent showcased in the international burlesque community.

Miss Starr has worked with Canada's top pin up photographers and her images have been in Missy Ink magazine, Bachelor Pad Magazine and was featured in the Sexual Spectrum article written by award winning journalist Jon Pressick.  She has also made MTV Canada television appearances and continues her pin up modeling career with Canada’s top photographers. Her current projects include: Artistic Director of a pin up photography book, teaching in demand workshops and international performances.   Always bringing stage presence, musicality, fantasy and fun to each performance dd continues to be a Shooting Starr in the wonderful world of Burlesque.
